Whether you realize it or recognize it, you are wonderfully designed part of God’s creation. As such, God created you (like the rest of humankind) to have a joyous, living, loving relationship with Him forever. But there is a major problem that prevents that from happening for most people. It is called sin.
Every single one of us have issues, poor attitudes, wrong choices, ugly thoughts and actions in our lives. Those are sins. All have sinned and fall short of God’s moral excellence. (Romans 3:23) Since Adam (the first human God created) chose to disobey God sin has been a part of every human’s nature. That sin has created a major barrier between God’s created children and Himself–between you and God!
But God has provided a way to take care of that sin. God, being totally without sin, cannot stand to even look upon sin. Sin prevents you and me from having that vibrant, lasting relationship with God He initially intended and continues to desire. That is unless we accept God’s plan for dealing with our sin. For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous. (Romans 5:19)
God so loved the world that He gave his one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him will not perish but have everlasting life.(John 3:16) The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. (Romans 6:23) God’s Son came not to be ministered to but to minister, to give his life a ransom for many. (Matthew 20: 28) God demonstrated His love for us in that while we were still sinners Christ died for us.(Romans 5:8) God sent his Son to shed his own blood to cover your sin.
But you and I must do two things! We must first repent. That means we openly admit we are a sinner and desire to be different. Except you repent you shall all perish. (Luke 13: 3) Secondly we must respond in trust to God’s love and forgiveness made available through Christ his Son. But as many as receive Him, He gives the power to become sons of God. (John 1: 12) If we confess our sin, He is faithful and just to forgive our sin and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. (1 John 1: 9) If you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe unto righteousness and with your mouth you confess and are saved.(Romans 10: 9- 10) As many as call upon His name shall be saved. (Romans 10:13)
There is no other way, no other plan! There is a way that seems right to man but the end thereof is destruction. (Proverbs 14: 12) Salvation is found in no one else, (nothing else) for there is no other name under heaven given to men by which we must be saved.(Acts 4: 12) Are you willing to admit you are a sinner? Do you genuinely desire to be different? Do you need to accept God’s plan–His Son, His forgiveness, His cleansing from sin–and enter into the joy of your Salvation? Behold now is the accepted time; behold now is the day of salvation! (2 Corinthians 6: 2)
